Hello, this is my first time building a pc, so i wanted to ask you if this build would work.
The PC i want to build isn't going to be completely new, since i am going to use my old PSU (500W) and case (antec three hundred two).
Another detail that might matter is that i am not planning on overclocking the cpu/gpu, at least not by a lot.
What i want to know is if the following components will work together:

CPU: Intel Core i5 4460 3.2GHz
Gpu: ASUS Radeon R9 280 DirectCU II or GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 760 OC WindForce 2X
Motherboard: ASUS B85M-G
Ram: HyperX Fury Blue 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz CL10 Dual Channel
Psu: don't know the brand, but i know it has 500 W
Case:Antec three hundred two

Would this set up work properly? Thank you

Solution
yeah it will be fine, however 500W is a bit low. Later in the future i highly recommend getting a 650W high quality psu like SeaSonic's PSUs.

You can't overclock with that also, cpu and motherboard are "locked".

oh and BTW...I recommend getting the i5 4570, it has a lot higher frequency for around $5 more.

Solution
everything seems alright...
dont buy a random psu.. get a good quality one.. psu is the heart of your pc.. a bad psu has the potential to burn your whole pc

ps : get the 280 .. its better than the gtx760

i would suggest getting a decent power supply... since the old power supply's brand is unknown (makes me hesitant to put new parts in with it)

you said you weren't planning on overclocking your cpu "at least not by a lot" but if you do end up thinking about overclocking, the 4460 is a locked processor and won't let you overclock if you decide on it later on

i would go with the r9 280

Thank you very much for your answers.
I was really worried about this build since i am not willing to spend a lot of money on it, but i also wanted to get the most "bang for my bucks".
