HI,i was working on internet on my laptop "acer touch screen" in the night and it was fine when i closed it.
in the morning when i open my laptop immediately a screen appeared that it is checking for de-fragmentation of registry. i completed in one minute or so but i found my internet is not working for all the sites and all the browsers.
i tried my level best to solve the problem but the site says that there is a change of settings.
i thought that it may be due to any windows update and tried for recovery of computer to some last date point but failed every time, it says that the process is not completed successfully every time and then another message displayed that it is due to "CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED".
The computer is now standstill on one color blue screen with only showing monogram of computer brand acer and nothing else.
After a gap of 30/40 minutes the screen goes to AUTOMATIC REPAIR but fail every body.
It may also be pointed out that 5 months ago my screen was minor cracked and my cursor started jumping here to there and i stopped by disabling it in Device Manager under heading of " human interface device". i tried to log in to my account of Microsoft on my laptop but failed to have the help directly from my defected lap top but because of change of options to default automatically , i could not do so.
i also tried to repair the windows with the recovery USB dongle but it does not work showing only blue screen with monogram.
please help me out to solve this problem.
My computer is acer brand with touch screen, windows 8 originally and upgraded to windows 8.1.*64 bits

Solution
Try and boot in Safe mode pressing F8, push restart button then mash F8 . Once in safe mode run command prompt, and type; sfc /scannow .

If above won't work try below; Boot windows installation disc, click on repair my computer then run system restore and most recent restore point .
