Can I use a 512 GB M.2 on my board and load my OS to it or is this more like caching? Or should I go with a 512gb ssd hard drive?

Be careful... what kind of interface does your M.2 catd have?

It will be SATA, PCIe or USB3.

I have heard that only the M.2 cards with a PCIE interface will work on this motherboard.

I hope I'm wrong, though!
