So I'm building my first custom rig and after doing all the research i can think of I've picked out the parts I think are best for my budget. But given that I haven't done it before I'd feel safer if some veterans could check my parts to see if I'm going to have any problems. Thanks guys, here's what I have:

Intel Core i5 4460
Corsair H60 Water Cooler
Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 7 Motherboard
8GB Corsair 2133mhz Vengeance (2x4GB) RAM
Crucial 256GB MX100 SSD
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB
Asus Xonar DGX PCI-E 5.1 sound card
Asus Wireless 802.11AC 867Mbps MIMO PCI-E card
NZXT H440 Case
650W Corsair CS Modular PSU

Solution
My $0.02:

You would be better off with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO over the H60.

Your motherboard has a good on-board audio CODEC. Unless you're doing high end professional audio work or listening to vinyl FLAC rips over $400+ headphones, you don't need the Asus Xonar.
