As you probably know, DayZ (both mod and Standalone) is a really hard game to run. With your system I could see that you might be able to play the mod version of the game on its lowest settings. As for the standalone, I can barely run it with my i5 and 760 on lowest settings. I doubt you will be able to play it on your notebook. I would try to run the Arma II Operation Arrowhead demo before making your final decision. Plus, after all, A2:CO is only $15 on steam (maybe even less right now that there is a sale going on).
