Installed a new FX-8350, In task manager it only shows up with 3 cores

In both CPU-Z and Task Manager, they say I only have 3 cores, even though the 8350 is an 8 core CPU. I used to have a triple core, so it might be remnants left over, but I wouldn't know why!
Please help!

Do you also see 3 processors in device manager? If so delete them and then reboot. All processors should then be detected.

Hmmph, It shows all 8 in the device manager.

The OP followed the procedure at the link that I provided:

If device manager is seeing 4 then obviously it's not disabled in the BIOS but rather in Windows:-

Type "msconfig" under Start Run... box. Then click "Boot" then "Advanced options" and check number of processors there.
