For starters my rig is gpu-gtx 780 cpu- Amd 8350 12g ram and 750W psu. However, i cant get above 30 fps on any altis life server or king of the hill for that matter. tried all kinds of different settings and my CPU isnt bottle necking. maybe using 25%. Any suggestions would be awesome thanks.

maby try a reinstall, who knows maby u got some broken files. But the 30 fps sounds alot like a vsync problem, so shud go over all settings and make sure its not turned on anywhere and force it off everywhere possible

It has to come down to him having Intel and me running AMD. My 780 should crush his 660 and i have the game on a SSD. I know he has some mid range i5

Can try this

1. Go to Steam Library
2. Go to "Arma 3" Right Click then select "Properties"
3. Select "Set Launch Options"
4. Copy and paste the correct launch command line below to what your system is setup for and click "OK".

For AMD CPU users:
AMD Dual Core with 4GB System Ram:
"-noSplash -cpuCount=2 -high"
AMD Quad Core with 4GB Ram:
"-noSplash -cpuCount=4 -high"
AMD Six Core with 4GB Ram:
"-noSplash -cpuCount=6 -high"
AMD Eight Core with 4GB Ram:
"-noSplash -cpuCount=8 -high"
______________________________________________
If your running more than 8GB Ram then apply this to the end of the launch line:
"-maxMem=8192"
This will allow your game to utilize 8GB system Ram instead of 4GB.
