Hello,

I've done some reading on my current board, the ASRock 990FX Extreme3, and it appears that it is not ideal for overclocking. What is the cheapest possible board which can deliver the power required to an FX-8120 that I want to overclock as much as possible, safely and without burning out? All input is appreciated. Thanks!

If you want the best cheap budget board that has outstanding overclocking with 8+2 power phase, this:

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($59.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $59.99
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

If you want something better, this:

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($94.99 @ Newegg)

And if you really want a good board go with any of the ASUS Sabertooth or ROG boards.
