My new hard drive is not being recognized by my computer

hi, my newly bought hard drive is not showing up after i canceled the formatting. When i first hooked it up i did everything needed and during the formatting process i accidentally canceled the process. Now my hard drive does not shop up in the booter menu and disc manager. I dont even get a free/allocated space on the disc manager. could anyone help me with this?

Hi there Bouke engel,

So the HDD is not showing up in both BIOS and Disk Management?
If so, I would advise you to swap the cables as well as the SATA port. Trying the drive on another computer will not hurt too. If it can't get recognized on another system as well, most probably you should contact the HDD's manufacturer and eventually RMA the drive.
