Due to me budgeting wrong and not factoring MRI, I'm forced to downgrade some items. I've bought everything except the PSU and CPU, and I really don't want to downgrade the CPU. I found a cheap refurbished corsair cx 500 and I was just wondering if refurbished PSU are safe to buy. If anyone has had experience buying refurbished PSUs, would like to know how it turned out for you.

i absolutely hate buying a power supply on the cheap. Its possibly the most important thing in a computer build but if i HAD to pay less than 50 dollars i guess i would get this one

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438012

but even then i would feel dirty and paranoid about it breaking, since i know nothing about evga psus ive only heard a few good things here and there.

if you can pay a bit more you should spring for this

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207013

and if you get the rebate taht brings you close to 50 dollars
