Why is this modular PSU so cheap?

OCZ is in a state of flux currently. OCZ is/was taken over by Toshiba who really wanted the ssd portion of OCZ. The psu portion is being sold to a third party.

OCZ developed an "iffy" rep some time ago, however, IMO their newer stuff is fine. In fact I have two OCZ psu's that I've been running for about three years - not one issue.

Bottom line -- great value and it's rated as a tier 2 (very good) supply. Don't be afraid of it if it suits your needs.
