MSI H81M-P33 LGA 1150 Intel H81 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Intel Pentium G3220 Haswell Dual-Core 3.0GHz LGA 1150 54W

G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

GIGABYTE GV-N470D5-13I-B GeForce GTX 470 (Fermi) 1280MB 320-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16

This is a list of what i wanted to buy. Its a super tight budget and the idea was that i could get my dad playing wow (the only game he plays) and if he wanted to in the future he could upgrade everything and anything he wanted (The motherboard has ability to be upgraded with new parts CPU, GPU ram etc.)

So!:

Will this system be bottle-necked anywhere?, and if so, what do i need to change.
My order total for the listed parts came to 250.. i have to keep it at that price point!

Also will it be good for Wow? my dads coming from a computer that cant even play the game on low over 14 fps but he loves the game and hasn't been able to play in over a year i wanted to surprise him for Christmas .. if i could afford it id build him a real system with some real power. but i'm a student and my money is beyond tight !

My order total for the listed parts came to 250.. i have to keep it at that price point!

Thank you all for your help. and happy holidays!

That is a decent deal.
If you can spend 10$-15$ on the G3258 and OC the shit out of it you would have a much better experience.

How much are you paying for that 470? That's a very old card and unless you're getting it from a trusted source, you should go a different route.
You are also missing some vital components:
The power supply. Has to be decent since you're running a power hog Fermi gpu.
The hard drive. An old non-sata drive won't work.
No case is listed. It may/may not be compatible with the motherboard' form factor.
As for that GPU, you could get something like a refurbished 260 or 260x for as low as 80 bucks that'll run Wow perfectly.

Once I get home I'll bring this up on an actual computer instead of my phone and I can go deal digging and get everything you need in that price point. I just need to know the current details of those parts that you are missing.

That looks pretty good for the price. Just make sure you have a big enough power supply to handle the 470. Those things were beasts. Also keep in mind that the GTX 470 will have similar performance to a GTX 750 or R7 260X. I wouldn't spend more than about $50 on it.

It shouldn't bottleneck and should be fine for WoW (the GTX470 is actually the one on the recommended specs).

I don't know the price difference but you should maybe pick the G3258 which OC like crazy over 4GHz with the stock cooler.
Much better bang for your buck.
The mobo you picked has been proven able to OC the G3258 @4.3GHz/4.5GHz: http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2389948

How much are you paying for the GTX470? Just wondering if there is a better option for you (you might consider the used market to grab a more powerful GPU).

Ohh im sorry i forgot to Mention the rest of the parts.

My father already has a 600W Corsair PSU (His old one broke a while back to he bought a new one)
And i have a case picked out that supports MicoATX and ATX so he should be good there. |
And he has a Newer SATA hard drive i think a 750GB (Probably not 7200RPM but it will have to do unfortunately theres no room in the budget)
he also already has a DVD Drive
monitor, keyboard etc.

The video card is coming fro newegg as a refurbished part The price was 64 bucks or so!!!
Best part is it maintains the 3 year factory warranty!! (Confirmed over the phone)

I really like the idea of that so i went ahead and added it to the wishlist and ill probably go with it when its time to checkout!!
If i can OC without without the possibility of damaging or overheating ill for sure consider it!

The GPU came to 64 bucks from newegg and maintains its 3 year factory warranty!
