First of all, thank you very much for whatever time you spend helping me. All of us have a limited amount of time to spend in our lives, and I truly appreciate the time you may spend helping me. THANK YOU!!!

I recently traded my gaming laptop (msi ge70 20e-17us) for a custom build desktop rig.

AMD 8350 Black the clock seems to go from 4ghz-4.3ghz
Corsair Air 540 Mid Tower
16GB Corsair Red-Vengeance 1600mghz
Corsair H55 Water Cooler, which is only for the CPU
Lots of fans 120mm, 140mm at 3K RPM
3 Coolermaster Sickleflow
Asus Sabertooth 990FX(R2) AM3 Motherboard
Kingston 128 SSD
1TB 7200RPM HDD
(2x) MSI Twin Frozer 7950 in CrossfireX

Everything for the most part is dandy! It sure is much, much faster than my laptop. However there are two issues.

1. Random BSOD

2. 90% of the time starting or rebooting the computer it just hangs at the BIOS with no beeps, I let it sit there for half an hour just to be sure it wasn't trying to do something. Rebooting a second time always fixes it.

This happens all the time, gaming or not. I've not seen the processor go above 50C, the cards stay around 70C.

well if your BSOD's are gone and you have no system stability issues I would not advice you to flash your BIOS. If you are having further BSOD's the you might want to update your BIOS, to see if that makes your system more stable.

Go and reset the CMOS. There should be either a button on the IO shield or a header on the mobo that you can move around. If you can't find either of those, take out the round silver battery near the pcie slots and put it back after 10 minutes.

Well its shutting off when a the 2nd gpu isn't even active. Could the psu really be the problem? Is there something to analyze my minidump? Bluescreenviewer Has Nothing To Add With My Limited understanding

Passed mem test repeated ram and cleared bios. Still hanging at bios on cold boots and resets.

Thank you mniasfreemag for the dump analysis! I've double checked and reinstalled the chipset drivers and will come back when I know more. I can tell it hasn't fixed the bios hanging.

mniasfreemag thank you again so much, my BSOD have gone away at least for this long and I was getting about 3 a day.

I do have the latest version of the BIOS. Would reflashing it maybe help?
