Hey guys, my friend is building a PC and this is what he has. I was just wondering if this is good for price and quality.

CASE: Sentey Gaming Case Optimus Gs-6000
CPU: AMD 8350 black edition
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 660
MOTHERBOARD: ASUS M5A97 R2.0
POWER SUPPLY: Corsair RM Series 750 Watt (80 PLUS)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3
-------------------------------------------------------OTHER-----------------------------------------------------
STORAGE MEMORY: WD Blue 1 TB Desktop Hard Drive
COOLING: Corsair Hydro Series High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler H60

Would he be able to comfortably play bf4, borderlands, and other games like that?

Thank you in advance!

Your case looks good though it may be a bit excessive for a system like that.

If you do not plan to edit videos then you should get a FX-6300 instead of the 8350.

The GTX 660 is getting old now you would be much better off with a Radeon R9 270 or 280. Both out perform the 660 and the 270 is generally cheaper.

Your Motherboard is fine.

750 Watt is more than plenty. You would be better off getting a 500-600W 80+ Bronze or better.

The RAM is fine.

HDD is fine.

Unless you plan to overclock you won't need a hydro-cooler like that. I have also heard that the H60i isn't a great heatsink. If you don't want to overclock then you can get a standard air cooler like a Raijintek Aidos.

That will basically be able to play most games on max...

Would have to know the prices. Good motherboard choice.

Drop down to the FX8320, skip the water cooler for something like a cooler master hyper evo 212, and get a little better video card.

GTX660 can run games like BF4, but you pick up an R9-280 on the low end for about what you can get the average GTX660 for. GTX760 would also be a little boost (Very similar performance to a GTX670)

I hope this helps,

Should i get an MSI AMD Radeon R9 270X 2GB or a Sapphire Radeon R9 270 2GB?

the difference between the x and standard versions of any R9 serious amd graphics card is minimal, go with whichever is cheaper, most likely the 270

make sure the 270 could fit in your case, i know sapphire has a tendency to make graphics cards long even longer

There is little difference between the 270 and the 270X. I would buy the 270. You could probably overclock a decently cooled 270 to match or out perform the 270X.
