I'm building a new computer and have everything connected, but when I try to power on the system the cpu heatsink and power supply fan go on for about half a second then everything shuts off. The only problem I did find while building the computer was when connecting the pin connector from the psu to the motherboard, it required a great amount of force. I've tried searching around for similar problems, but could not find a solution.

The parts i'm using are
Motherboard: MSI H97 Guard-Pro LGA 1150 Intel H97
Power Supply: CORSAIR CXM series CX600M 600W
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM 1600
CPU: Intel i5 4590

Solution
1: Are there any beep codes (system speaker beeps)
2: Whats the GPU
3: Try using minimal configuration. Remove hard drive, gpu, all ram but 1 stick, dvd drive, sound card etc. Only keep cpu, cpu fan, 1 stick of ram, and motherboard connected and see if it boots.

There are no system sounds that I can hear. I don't have a GPU connected. I have tried doing a minimal configuration, but the same thing happens.
