My media keys work in windows media player but not in chrome.

I have tried starting the HID in the services and changing chrome from global to in chrome but it doesn't work. Have any ideas?

By the way, the keys work in spotify, and other media programs just not chrome. When I go to the keyboard settings in chrome and see if I can change the key binding. When i click the skip media key it doesn't do anything, kind of like chrome doesn't recognize that i'm clicking it.

Okay, what I mean is that the media keys work in desktop applications but not in chrome. I have tried those things you suggested already, before I even posted this. It's like chrome doesn't recognize the keys at all. Any other ideas?

Thank you for response. Try using this. !!

If you are using windows 32-bit follow this steps.:

Chromium Installer (32-bit)

Install it! Installation is silent. After 2 or 3 seconds, a shortcut will be automatically created on your desktop.

How to update it ?

All of your settings, bookmarks, extensions, history, cookies will be saved. Do not worry !

Download mini_installer.exe
Close Chromium browser if opened
Execute mini_installer.exe
Wait for 2 or 3 seconds (Installation is silent)
Open Chromium browser. It is updated!

Chromium Package (32-bit)

Unzip it on your computer... into C:\Program_Files\Chromium, for example. Create this directory if needed.

How to update it ?

As Chromium gets updated quite a lot you may want to upgrade it. As the extensions get stored outside the main Chromium installation directory you can delete all the files in the installation directory and replace them with the contents of the latest zip file.

Download chrome-win32.zip
Close Chromium browser if opened
Unzip chrome-win32.zip
Delete all the files from your installation directory
Move the files from the unzipped chrome-win32 directory to your installation directory
Open Chromium browser. It is updated!

If you are using windows 64-bit follow this steps.:

Chromium Installer (64-bit)

Follow the same instructions as #windows-32-bit-installer to install and update it.

Chromium Package (64-bit)

The name of this archive is "chrome-win32.zip" but do not worry, it is really the 64-bit version!
Follow the same instructions as #windows-32-bit-package to install and update it.

NOTE: Once you updated your Version will be: 41.0.2239.0. Please check and update us.
