I have a new build that id like to put another intake fan on but i don't want to use a fan controller as its a cheaper build i use for work but my two case fan ports are used by the two fans in the case already, I have some y cables left over from a few other builds and am wondering if the port is "heavy" enough to handle the current of more than one fan...the mobo is an msi a78m-e45 and the fan or fans would be 120mm led case fans i have left over

Solution
Yes, most headers are good for at least 1 amp. Most case fans are ~.25 amp to ~.5 amp. Best not to go more than 2 fans per header because of the locked rotor current (starting current).
