Hi, I recently bought a CoolerMaster Storm Devastator Keyboard/Mouse combo.

Link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823129038&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Gaming+Keyboards-_-N82E16823129038&gclid=Cj0KEQiAhvujBRDUpomG5cq_mI0BEiQA7TYq-tL5Cp7By2lIkC2qqRY1Pr11eiFZFSyJYmCdKtKtz34aAsRr8P8HAQ

Out of the box, the mouse worked great, than scroll wheel stopped working after a day, but I got a new mouse so I don't care about that.

Now, the keyboard never worked to begin with. Only, i'd say, 15-20 keys work on the whole keyboard (0-9 above the letters) and a few random letters on the keyboard (yui fghj cvb) and the space and ESC key and that's it. No matter what I did I couldn't get the keys to work, sometimes if I pressed them really hard they worked. Weirder, I tried press the back of the keyboard really hard to the front using my hands basically so that the case of the keyboard (both sides) are being smashed together and a lot of the keys were working.

My question is, is there anyway to fix this without doing a return? Again, I don't care about the mouse and I really would just like to work on it tonight real quick and be able to use it asap. Their RMA's take like 1+ month to be redelivered.

I have tried taking it apart and cleaning the membrane, and the circuit sheet but to no avail. Any ideas please? Thank you,

Derek

Solution
It sounds like there was a manufacturing defect. It could be anywhere in the mechanics or circuitry, not something you're likely able to fix. I'd just go someplace local and pick up a cheapy keyboard and rma that one.

Thanks, I went out and bought a TT Esports blue switch mechanical after I posted this. (awesome keyboard btw). I just didn't want to rma it, and it seems like it is very fixable but I just can't figure out how to do it. Like I said, if I smash the back of the keyboard together with the front, so basically if im holding it right side up on my lap with my left hand around the top frame, and my right hand smash the middle of the back of the keyboard to the front side, a lot of the keys work. So I feel like there just isnt enough press between the membrane, and the circuit-sheet. Who knows. Will have to RMA it now anyway since I bought a new keyboard. Not to mention I don't want to mess with it anymore as to void my warranty. Regardless, thanks for the input. Will mark as solution.
