Upgrading to a Dedicated Graphics card using APU a10 6800k as a CPU

Hey guys! recently, I bought an r9270 as an upgrade to pair with my 1 year old APU a10 6800k system. However, I have read a couple of threads about certain graphics card being bottle necked ( i am not quite sure what this means) by APU's. I am wondering, does the r9270 gets "bottle necked" by my APU? If ever, I can still return this thing and buy a new one. If so, which dedicated graphics card works best with APU's? Basically, is the r9270 the best GPU that I can pair with my APU? Are there other cheaper but more efficient choices for me? Thank you in advance!

your apu 6800 is pretty good and will not be bottlenecked by a 270 even at stock speeds..

since you are asking for a cheaper way .. you can do dual graphics... your cpu has inbuilt gpu and it can be paired with a ceritan dedicated gpu in order to crossfire both of them

so that you get the benifit of two instead of one at a cheaper rate

you can dual graphic crossfire it with a radeon 6770 but it wont be as powerful as a single r9 270

so you are better off with an r9 270

Hi! thanks for the response! Also, I only have 460W PSU. Should I be worried? I am using a stock heat sink fan, 4gb RAM 1600, and a few fans, and an SSD + the r9270. Is 460w enough or should I upgrade it? Thanks again!

oh, 460 is a bit low

you will have to upgrade your psu to a 550w atleast ....

also your ram is a bit low... bump it up to 8gb

Should I stop using it now since my PSU is a bit low? I dont want to burn my house or anything

lol it wont burn your house or anything.. iit may give issues while gaming like random shutdown,flickering and other artifacts if the power delivery is too low
