HELLO GUYS,

I AM NOT ABLE TO ACCESS TO MY INTERNAL LOCAL DISK [D] IT IS IN RAW STATE. I DON`T WANT TO RECOVER DATA FROM IT I JUST WANT TO HAVE IT BACK FOR THE STORAGE. I AM USING WINDOWS XP SP3. ANYONE KNOWS ANY SOLUTION PLEASE SHARE IT WITH ME I WILL BE GLAD TO HAVE AND THANKS TO ALL IN ADVANCE FOR HELPING.

BEST REGARDS,
ADITYA.

Hey Aditya. Is that a separate HDD or just a different partition of one drive? You could try to reformat it if you don't want the data on it, to see if this would fix the issue. But it's not normal for a drive's partition to go into RAW format without a reason, so I'd recommend that you run the manufacturer's diagnostic tool and test the drive, to see what's the situation with it.
Here's a link with instructions on how to format and partition a drive: http://wdc.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3865/

Hope that helps.

Hey there, Aditya Rampure!

You should be able to make it usable again by simply creating a new simple volume.
Right-click on the extended partition, what options do you have?
I found a tutorial that explains how to deal with the partitions in detail, you could try to follow the steps.
You have the option to do it through Disk Management in Windows or use a third party software:

Hope this helps you! :)
