Solution
Then get a G3258 and a Z97 motherboard so you can buy an overclockable i5 in the future.

These are both great Z97 boards, will take the new Broadwell processors due out next year and will give you the best chance of getting a good overclock

I love my G3258 so far (about a week in so far). Plus you can overclock it (on pretty much all motherboards too. yes I know AMD overclocks as well) to be as good as any i3 (which in turn means any 6XXX AMD. at least in most gaming benchmarks). But like everyone else stated, will you be getting a dedicated GPU? If not, go with the A10. The nice thing about the G3258 is that there is a lot of upgrading potential in it (all the way up to a Broadwell i7).

You can get some pretty sweet deals with G3258 from what I can tell(if you are near a microcenter, hopefully they still have a Z97 with a G3258 for $99 aka buy a Z97 and get a free G3258).

I think we need some more information from the OP before we can help more. For example...

- What's their budget?
- What are they using the PC for?
- Will they be buying/already own a graphics card?
- Will they be overclocking?

You can just about squeak an i5 build at that budget;

http://www.takealot.com/msi-intel-h81m-p33-h81-chipset-motherboard-socket-1150/PLID28620999

If you're wanting to overclock, there's the FX6300;

http://www.wootware.co.za/asrock-970-pro3-r2-0-amd-970-sb950-chipset-socket-am3-desktop-motherboard.html

Personally I'd go with the i5 as the FX6300's performance is closer to an i3

wow good find with the i5 !! but do you think the moterboard would do it ??

and i am comfortable with overclocking so what do you think of the i5 vs the pentium

The i5 is a much better performer than the G3258 even though it can't be overclocked. It will be much better for rendering as it has more cores. The motherboard will be OK, wouldn't be my first choice. This one is a fair bit better if you can stretch http://www.rebeltech.co.za/5582-gigabyte-b85m-hd3-lga1150-intel-b85-chipset-micro-atx-gigabyte-b85m-hd3-ga-b85m-hd3-lga1150-intel-b85-chipset-2x-dual-channel-dd.html the ideal motherboard would be a H97 but that will take you outside your budget.

awesome solution !! but what do you think if i were to get the pentium now
http://www.evetech.co.za/PC-Hardware/intel-pentium-dual-core-gaming-upgrade-kit-796.aspxand
and get an i 5 eventually for it keeping same gpu !!

or get the AMD A10-6800k and the MSI A88X-G45 and eventually in 2 years get a new GPU something like a MSI AMD Radeon R9 270X Gaming
