Hi, system build noob here.

I built my new pc yesterday, all is running good so far but when Installed windows on my intel 730 series ssd, I forgot to create a partition for windows, I just let the installer do things automatically.
now there is a 350mb partition with nothing being used, and windows installed without partition.

Will this cause problems down the road? Should I reinstall windows now? Or just leave it? it seems to be working fine.

also I removed the 350mb volume in windows storage manager so it's not visible in my list of drives in windows explorer. the partition is still there though. will that cause issues? is there a reason windows made this 350mb partition?

Thanks

Solution
You must leave that 350MB partition alone. Do not delete it, expand it into other space...nothing.

That is your boot info, and optionally BitLocker.

Leave it alone. It is normal and expected.

Does the partiotion has any name?
It`s common for Windows to create a small partition, so don`t worry about this.

You only need to repartition if you want to actually store data and files on the SSD.
If you`re like me, and have an HDD for files, and the SSD only for the OS and installed apps, don`t worry. My SSD is also not partitioned.

Was this the only hard drive connected when you installed windows? If so, it should be the only drive with master boot record files and you should be fine. It's actually a good idea to not completely fill up your drive so leaving that 350MB as unused wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. If you really want the additional space, you can expand the partition on your drive to populate the unused space
