Corsair XMS2 upgrade voltage issue

I got an old pc that was built using a kit of (2 x CORSAIR XMS2 PC2-6400 1GB) working at 1.8volts .

Since I recently upgraded my Windows 7 32bits to Windows 7 64bits I tought I needed an extra pair of ram sticks.

Bought another new, out of package, kit of ram sticks same model and capacity except didnt noticed that they work at 1.9volts.

Tried:

1)Before taking notice at the voltage and using all (4 x CORSAIR XMS2 PC2-6400 1GB) pc would not POST, and no video signal nor beeping

2)Used only the new kit of (2 x CORSAIR XMS2 PC2-6400 1GB) 1.9volts and got same result as above.

3)Reseated the old kit (2 x CORSAIR XMS2 PC2-6400 1GB) 1.8 volts and the PC booted normally.

Questions:

The thing that got me bothered was that BIOS is in Auto DDR2 Voltage Control so when I tried the new kit it should had adjusted to the new voltage alone. Is that how it works perhaps?

If I scale up in BIOS the DDR2 voltage control from 1.8v to 1.9v maybe can I get the PC to boot properly with both kits for a total of 4GB ?

My motherboard (ASUS M2A-VM HDMI) supports up to 2.10volts on the DDR2 dimms

I havent tried anything else.

Thanks in advance for the help.

You can try this.

Can you give the partnrs for both sets of ram? Maybe there's more that needs to be adjusted like timings and speed.

Hello! sorry for the late reply been kind of busy.

Since we are having very bad weather. Rain and lightning storms there has been some power outage so I havent tried anything yet.

But I have made some research and in some corsair forums they recommend not only increasing memory voltage, but increasing NB, and lowering speed form 800mhz to 667mhz to compensate the power feed increase.

Anyway I'm waiting for better weather in case I need to make any major BIOS changes.

I truely appreciate your help and hope I can tell soon enough if there is any success.

Thanks.
