GTX 980 Gaming 4G or GTX 780 Ti Classified K|NGP|N

Ok so the title says it all. I am planning on a Christmas upgrade for my pc and I can't choose between those two.

GTX 980. Performs better in benchmarks, has more VRAM which you will need in games like today, plus it looks better

Make sure you have a good enough PSU that can handle it

They're very close, I'd take the 980 though.

So 980 because it performs better and well has lower consumption. But one last question if I overclock this 780 will I get the performance of the 980?

No, there's no point buying an inferior card to try and OC it to higher than a better card I just don't understand that sorry.

I would simply get the 980 in the first place, faster, more VRAM and you don't have to try and OC to get a better performance(which you most likely won't get anyway)

Erm, maybe. But it works both ways, you can overclock the 980 and have a better GPU
