Wifi acess point android and desktop

Hello.
I have dlink 2750u router and my pc is connect to it via wire/ethernet and my phone is connected to it via wifi. When I try to use a app called wifi file transfer or other similar apps it gives a ip which i should put in my desktops browser, when i put it, it shows page not found. Please help me.

are you putting it in like http://192.168.1.1? you need to have the http etc...

Sorry, I am very familiar with networking but have no experience with the apps you are trying to use. What are you trying to do exactly?

Read the help files for the program you are trying to use, likely you need to do some further setup.
