Hi, I just finished building my pc and it all works well but I notice that a small green light on my motherboard stays on (asus z87k) and my GPU green light also stays on? (Asus Nvidia gtx 760) is this normal for these lights to be on? Some have said this is normal while others have said faulty compenents..?
Mobo and GPU led green lights stay on when computer turned off?

Every mobo I've ever had has kept the light on. It isn't a problem. I don't have a gpu with a light but I assume it is the same thing. It shouldn't be a problem.

shows you board is on standby power -- if you turn off the psu and then hit the on switch and hold it on the case it should turn off to show the board is now discharged from power so you know you can safely work on it

yes the computer is off but the board is still under power from the psu you got to turn off /unplug the psu then hold in the case power on switch to kill the power and the light will turn off and now your board is discharged
