Okay so I recently built a new PC. I have done some trouble shooting and I think I've narrowed down the problem.

Okay so when I had my VGA cable hooked into my GPU through its HDMI Output (with the use of an adapter) The monitor is detecting the signal. But it will not boot into BIOS. Sometimes I get this error "reboot and select proper boot device. Or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key" Other times I get no error just a black screen and nothing happens, but I am getting input. (I also know I'm pressing the correct keys when I need to boot)

I know its not a problem with my Mobo or CPU or anything else because I have booted into bios using my motherboard after taking my GPU out, running off of intergrated mobo graphics.

My BOIS is set to PCIE also, GPU is properly seated and is running fine. I have tried different monitors (The exact same model of the one that wouldn't post on, same results) Also have tried different VGA cables and even different PCIE cables.

Overall the system runs fine but will not boot/post BIOS when I have my GPU in. This leads me to believe that maybe I have a broken GPU, but that doesn't seem like the problem because its running fine ?

Or its the fact that my HDMI Output to VGA Input adapter isn't working properly.

Heres some pictures so you get a better idea of the situation.

Solution
VGA is just fine for 1080p. Do you have a powered/active Analog to Digital converter? a cable wont run it as hdmi is a digital connection and vga is a analog connection.
