What is better is there a big difference in performance? The G1 Gaming is $70 more and only has 12MHz more clock speed thank the EVGA. I don't know much about graphics cards so I don't know what else is important. Is there a reason to get the G1 Gaming other than the EVGA being sold out(need to wait 4 days or spend $70 extra).

Someone told me they don't like the EVGA because they had a bad experience with one back in the day. So can you guys tell me what is the reputation of the EVGA?

Ohh the last thing is that the G1 Gaming has 3 Fans and the EVGA has only 2 does this make any difference in cooling?

I live in Australia, Vic, Melbourne in case that is of any relevance with parts/prices.
MSY (shop close to me) also sells gtx 970 gainward for $420 but provides no information on it

You will see NO difference in performance.
In the US, I like EVGA, they have an active support forum that you might check out.

The lowest priced GTX970 will be fine, just so long as it has good warranty support on Australia.

All vendors seem to like fancy fan solutions because they sell. A GTX970 runs on less power and really does not need exotic cooling. I actually like the stock blower coolers better. They keep your case cooler.
One issue with some EVGA units is reported as "coil whine" I might check out verified owners of different cards on newegg owner feedback. The EVGA forum will have talks on this too. I really can't say if it is a real issue or how prevalent it really is.

I think like with all hardware there are hits and misses with problems. When it comes to graphics cards from Nvidia EVGA is the only brand I buy and I've never had a single problem other than that I like there warrantee.

Ohh thank you both for the advice. I guess I have to wait 4 more days then before I can buy myself an EVGA. I was a bit worried about the difference in fans but I guess it won't matter much and for $70 cheaper I can put up with the coil whine :p
