I need a little advice from my electronic pals. I have a 48 volt Golf Cart that my wife wants to decorate for Christmas. I have concluded the best way to accomplish this is with an A/C D/C inverter. All the inverters I have seen are powered by 12 volte, my cart being 48 volts (six 8 Volt batteries) has no 12 volt tape to connect to. So I have thought about going across 3 of the 8 volt batteries and pick up 24 volt, then connect the 12 volt inverter and a 12 volt heater in series across the 24 volts, thereby giving me to 12 volts I need for the Inverter. Does anyone see any flaws in my plan, if so what. Thanks Casey Ka3ebe

that's a very dodgy way of doing it, any faults could result in death, particularly as I presume this will be outside.

Why don't you just get 12v xmas lights/leds? Hundred on ebay with multiple colours and patterns and less chance of death.
