good day,

This is archie and hoping someone could help me with my concern, I have encountered a problem with my NVIDIA settings. Just after my Windows 8 auto updated to 8.1, I cant access anymore my NVIDIA settings it always prompts that my settings are not available - "You are not currently using a display attached to an NVIDIA GPU". It affected my screen resolution in display settings and my games as well. Checked in the device manager if my driver is still installed its still there, but the device status states "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems (code 43)".

Specs: Toshiba Satellite laptop, Intel Core i5, RAM 5GB, 64bit OS x64 based processor, NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M

Thanks in advance for the assistance

Solution
uninstall all nvidia driver related from control panel. then reinstall your nvidia driver. if your system using nvidia Optimus technology make sure intel graphic drivers also installed. in my experience system with optimus will refuse to recognize nvidia hardware without intel graphic drivers.
