I have already purchased an i5 4690k for $185.90 and an 255GB SSD for $93.15. here is what i have? http://pcpartpicker.com/user/spliffy/saved/FhC6Mp

Trying to keep the budget under $800. Newegg doesn't offer free shipping to where I live. I missed the sales on the memory.

Need help finding a good GPU to fit in the budget. I want to be able to run arma 3 and gta v. Many of the 290s are sold out.

I might need to find a cheaper mobo and better micro atx case. although i do have a HAF932 but it's way too big.

Budget is $700-$800. No free shipping here from newegg

I need help picking a GPU, or is the 280x good enough to handle Arma 3 and GTA V.
I would like a 290 but most of them are currently sold out.

I'm not sure about my RAM and Memory choices

Looking for a better case.

The memory is sold out. When they restock does it go off the sale price?

try that ram... there is nothing wrong with cas9 1.5v 1600 ram. for all but benchmarks and power users its plenty of bandwidth.

definitely DO NOT get that cx600 power supply. just get the xfx 550w.

In terms of Arma 3 and GPU. Heres my story.

I just changed from Nvidia gtx760 to an Amd 290x. Hoped on a server in arma 3. Same FPS with both cards...so for arma 3, dont expect any fps increase. Totally CPU bottlenecked to space and back. In every other game I've tried I got double the FPS, at least.

Do I need an aftermarket cooler? or can I use the stock one?

Use the stock one for now, and get another one later on and change it if you`ll want to.
You only need a cooler if you`ll Overclock.
A decent cheaper one is the Cooler Master 212 Evo, and a great but a bit more expensive one is the Noctua NH-D14.

You don`t want to get lower quality parts now, just to fit a cooler in there now. Get the best parts you can in the start, and then upgrade in time.

i dont see the point in the seasonic 550w gold when you can get a sweet seasonic/xfx fully modular gold 750w for only $10 more.

overkill though but would be nice paired with an unlocked i5/i7 and sli 970s. but for single gpu systems the 550w is still just as good minus the modular cables. gold certification is only really nice when paired with a higher end motherboard and a phanteks/noctua/water cooler and going for 4.7ghz+. but for some modular cables are a must if you want the looks or if maximum cooling is the aim.

That`s the deal with every build. You can always get something a bit more expensive and a bit better.
But when the budget is tight, you cut all the corners.

FYI - for my build, my initial budget was 800-900$. It ended up at about 1600-1700 just by doing this.
