Solution
Not hardly, just looking at DRAM, DDR3, most newer models all use 4Gb memory chips which aren't compatible with pre 1155 mobos, nor with older 2Gb based sticks (and even mixing the older sticks can be problematic), look at the Fury line of sticks, they don't use XMP they operate based on PnP, which also isn't compatible with numerous mobo chip sets. And DRAM in particular is not made to be mixed, setwise. Each individual set is composed of 2,3,4,6,or 8 sticks that have been tested to work/play together. You can pull 10 sticks right off an assembly line and maybe only find 4 that can compose a 4 stick set. This is also why manufacturers only guarantee compatibility by a given single package of DRAM, mix two of them - No guarantee...

They may or may not work together, even getting the same identical DRAM can be problematic - that's why manufacturers make such a variety of sets - the sticks in each package have been tested to work together. If it was as easy to mix sticks as people wantyou to believe then all the manufacturerers would do is sell single sticks. The additional testing it takes to find 2-3 and 4 stick sets is why the larger sets often cost more
