Hi guys,

Thanks for taking the time to look at my thread. Last night, one of my flatmates reset the router and when it fully booted up, everyone reconnected to the router except me. The little icon on the bottom right of the screen suggests that the internet should be working perfectly fine, but when I hope up Google chrome, I just get the web page is not available message. I've tried resetting the router and Ethernet cables.

If you need to know anything more, please just ask. This is such an annoying problem...

Thanks again!

Hey, I`m back!

So, after all u have 2 computers: a desktop (not working) and a laptop (working).

Trey to connect the laptop via the utp cable and see if is working, if it is ok, then: your Lan on desktop is not working/not installed OR you have a restriction from the router. (your desktop might be filtered in the router, via mac address)

IF still not working, reset the router to default, u might also update the firmware and reconfigure it from zero.

Hope it helps.

Nvm, try to open command prompt and use the ping command, for ex: ping yahoo.com

U might not get an IP from the router. if that is so, u will have to reconfigure the router.

I am using my laptops wi-fi to connect to Tom's Hardware, and all of my flatmates are using their PCs and phones without any issue. I also tried the other LAN router ports to no avail :/ Thanks anyways!

Ok this clarify things.
Basically u have internet access via router (wifi) (U have an IP from the router) but u don`t have lan access.

U might have an issue with the cable or one of the rj45, or the LAN. (try using one of your flatmates cable)
U might also have a problem with the LAN drivers, try to reinstall them.

OH and btw, make sure your LAN is enabled :D

It's my gaming PC that's having trouble connecting to the internet through the ethernet, my laptop is totally fine. So which drivers should I use? I made the PC myself so I have no idea where I'd get them.
