I keep getting the following messages

PXE - E61: media test failure, check cable AND
PXE - M0F: Exiting Intel Boot Agent
Insert system disk in drive.
Press any key when ready

I remember accidentally dropping the laptop (I was driving and it fell from the passenger seat onto the floor of the car, but was in its soft carrier case so I didn't think anything of it).

Any chance you can tell me what's happening with it and how I can resolve. I have my final paper on it and if I can't retrieve it I'll be toast. Thanks for your help.

Solution
Try reseating the hard drive in the case.

If that does not work, the drive or the drive connector on the laptop is broken.

Remove the drive and add it as a secondary in another compter, either with a USB enclosure or just hook it up to a motherboard in a desktop PC.
