Good Day
First my build
Mobo MSI z97 gaming 3
CPU I5-4690k
Ram Kingston hyperfury x 16G (2x8)
GPU sapphire r9-270x toxic
PSU corsair hx750
case NZXT phantom ATX
ssd crucial 250gb
hdd Seagate 1tb
cooler cooler master n20 ( I believe could be wrong on model #)

Put it together got no video signal pulled video card and tried hdmi, dvi, and vga ports on motherboard. Followed all steps posted on common issues with new builds that was posted on this site. switched ram around tried 1 stick than other stick. removed cooler checked CPU. checked all usb ports mouse does not light up. On side note HDD light does not turn on and reset switch does not work on case either. Doubled checked mobo wire connectors. completely removed mob to make sure was not grounding to case. I have a speaker but for the life om me cant figure out wher to plug in on mobo. ( checked manual and went to MSI website) I removed battery and jumped cmos clear. all fans work including GPU.

jerry3190 - well, You pretty much shoot out all the rounds in the magazine pal. This is one of the reasons why I always opt for Asus, MSi-s are like "ping in a poke", You'll never know what You get.

If Your motherboard didn't run in this configuration: motherboard on cardboard box + cpu + 1 ram module with onboard graphics, there's not really much You can do. Since Intel CPUs has like zip error ratio, if You didn't damage it while installing, it's most likely either power supply [which is super unlikely] or motherboard :\

Just a "dumb check" here. Did You connect CPU power rail? Did it click? Did the mainboard main rail click? Since You have HX, did it click on the PSUs side?

romirez - he had to have version 2.0 of BiOS, in order being unable to run it. 4690K is supported from version 2.1. Though, it's a good shot with BiOS update to the newest.
