Computer Specs:
Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1 64 Bit
Intel Core i7-3770k CPU @ 3.60 GHz
8 GB Hyperx Genesis Ram
Nvidea Geforce GTX 680
Problem:
I use to run CS Go from 200-300 FPS no problem. I suddenly drop to 60-120 FPS and my game freezes at the buy menu a problem I never had before. If I restart my computer I get good FPS for about 10-20 minutes and then it goes back to 60-120. I tried playing offline with bots while connected to the internet and I still get bad FPS. As soon as I disconnect from the internet the FPS goes up to 200-300 FPS no problem. In Assassins Creed Unity I just assumed my system was not good enough to run the game so I put the graphic settings on low and got barely playable FPS. Again as soon as I disconnect from the internet I can play on ultra settings with great FPS. I know it sounds weird and people always say that FPS is a hardware issue and has nothing to do with Internet but Ive tried almost everything and nothing has worked. BTW I live in Thailand but I have the AC unit on 24/7 and its very cold in my room.
Things Ive tried:
Downloaded Malware Bytes Scanned Entire System
Downloaded Avira Anti Virus Scanned Entire System
Verified Game Cache via Steam
Unparked all my cores
Monitored my CPU and GPU temps (Noticed dropped in temperatures when disconnected from the internet from 75 degrees to 40-50)
Updated graphics driver to latest
Downgraded back to previous versions to see if the driver was the problem
I vacuumed my computer a bit to try to remove dust. I am willing to take it apart and clean it properly after buying thermal paste if necessary but I dont think thats the problem since offline both games work perfectly.
I've tried uninstalling Avira anti virus to see if that helps it doesn't.
Don't know what else to do except fresh install windows which I am desperately trying to avoid. I have searched the threads and haven't found anybody with similar problems. Any thoughts on what it might be and any advice would be appreciated. If all else fails I will probably fresh install windows.
