CPU: AMD FX-6300
CPU Cooler: LEPA V12
Motherboard: GA-970A UD3P

I was overclocking the CPU to 4.3 GHz at 1,3 CPU VCore, at 55 degrees C and I got an error message saying ILLEGAL SUMOUT, possible hardware failure when testing with Prime95. I was using HWMonitor to monitor the core voltages and temperatures.
I tried bumping the voltages for 0.025, but the temperatures got to 61 degrees, which is the limit for this CPU

I'm now testing at 4.2GHz, but I'm not sure why there was an error at 4.3GHz.

Solution

the cpu isnt stable. Bump up your voltage more for 4.3 GHz. But you already about to reach its limits.

better you use this app as it helps your temps reading ...

better you use this app as it helps your temps reading : http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2122665/understanding-temperature-amd-cpus-apus.html

using this, my thermal limit is somewhere between 67-68 degrees celcius. So 61 degrees is still got a room for bumping a voltage but still, watch your temps. What is your ambient temps?
