Hello everyone,

Quick Edit: I tested this card on another Machine and it works fine the problem occurs on my pc

This is a problem i am having for a long time and i have not solved it yet so here we go

I have a computer with an GeForce 9500 GT
Since the first day i bought it and i installed it i've had problem with Artifacts,

Something like that
http://www.playtool.com/pages/artifacts/background010000.jpg

I had no problem while booting or when computer was on, everything was completely Fine
The problem was only while i was running a Game or some other heavy program like Photoshop i guess
It looks like Overheating Artifacts but I'm not very sure about that

(How i managed to fix that? I downloaded MSI Afterburner and i decreased the Core Clock From 650 to 500 Mhz)
I have never seen artifacts since then and the graphics card works just fine

The problem is Why cant i have the maximum power of this card (650 Core Clock) ?
Also if MSI Afterburer crash my computer graphics fail really bad

Some other info that might be usefull

Dual Core 2.3 CPU
4 GB Ram
465 GB Hard Drive

Thanks for your time reading guys

you have a very old system, therefore i suggest not to upgrade anything.. instead get an entire new system

if you persist on getting a new psu .. i will help.. but i would like you to think of getting a new...
I'd agree that those look like overheating artifacts. If you have MSI afterburner installed, can you try increasing the fan speed?

Many manufacturers, especially in these generation of cards which were very power hungry and created tons of heat, did not provide sufficient cooling for the cards at full speed, instead they went for a balance of cooling and acoustic performance (much like the AMD r9-290 and r9-290x reference cards).

Thank you for your time replying to me,

I Already set my Fan speed at 100% through MSI Afterburner and no difference at all
Especially in sound my pc sound is loud either in 100% or default

Edit: This Card was working perfectly on another Machine

I totally agree with you the whole PC Was very bad choice and very expensive 1,800 Euros back at 2007
it was a gift i did not choose it.

You think my PSU is causing the problem?
Also what is 30 amps? i am looking the sticker and i cant figure out what are you talking about

What should i look on a PSU to know its a good one and how much money i need

Thanks again blacksheep123

I couldn't afford a new system and this old Lady its still working for the weak games i play

I am actually planning to buy a new system in the next months so i am not going to replace that PSU

But since you mentioned you Open my eyes about PSU if it wasn't for you i wouldn't pay attention on the PSU of the new system that
i might buy i only Look at SSD, GPU, RAM and CPU

Anything else you recommend me to check before i buy the system?

Also how did you calculate the 30 amps based on the image i showed you and what is a good amps number for a Gaming machine

there are two 12+ sighn.. it means two rails of 12v+

below them is 14A and 16A

14+16=30A

you need atleast 50A in an average PSU

importance of a system

PSU>CPU>MOBO>GPU>RAM>CASE>HDD

GET A 750w or 850w psu if you are goint to use it in a future build.. buy it from a reputed company like corsair,OCZ,cooler master, antec,EVGA,seasonic,XFX
