Tradesman1 :
Go into BIOS - find DRAM voltage and raise it + 0.05
Hi, I am really not an expert on hardware-related problem solving so I need a little more help here. Chances are my slot is not working at all, but I have to try this procedure to make sure of it.
Anyway, I am trying to make use of my old computer. I have ASUS M2N68-AM SE2 motherboard (BIOS v02.61). This is closest I got in following your steps. I went to BIOS --> JumperFree Configuration and only there found options about CPU Ratio and Voltage, Memory Timing and Voltage and Chipset Voltage. I looked under every tab and there is no similar option to DRAM voltage. These are options I have:
CPU Overclocking [...] *
PCIE Overclocking [...]
Processor Frequency Multiplier [...]
Processor Voltage: [Power Saving Mode]
[Standard] [+ 50mv] [+ 100mv]
Memory Clock Mode [...]
DRAM Timing Mode
[Auto] [DCT 0] [DCT 1] [Both]
Memory Voltage
[Auto] [2.050V] [2.150V] [2.250V]
Chipset Voltage
[Auto] [1.35V]
* [...] I assume these options are of a less importance.
Everything is set to [Auto]. I bought the same memory I already had for years, so it is 100% compatible. Also, new memory works when placed in the right slot.
Do you suggest any combination of settings that could solve the problem?
Thanks in advance!
