hi, I've got a problem with my RAM's.i have two ram( kingston 4gb & twinmos 4gb both are 1333) everything is ok when i add each of them separately in slot 1 , but both sticks don't work in slot 2,so my computer getting restarted continuously
Please tell me possible causes and solution. Thanks in advance

Specs:
matherboard:gigabyte p61-d3
power:xpire atx700

Solution
Can start w/ 1 stick and raise the DRAM voltage + 0.06 and see if that does anything, if not try a little extra voltage to the MC (memory controller)

How to draw extra voltage? Can you relay the procedures please?

Hi, I am really not an expert on hardware-related problem solving so I need a little more help here. Chances are my slot is not working at all, but I have to try this procedure to make sure of it.

Anyway, I am trying to make use of my old computer. I have ASUS M2N68-AM SE2 motherboard (BIOS v02.61). This is closest I got in following your steps. I went to BIOS --> JumperFree Configuration and only there found options about CPU Ratio and Voltage, Memory Timing and Voltage and Chipset Voltage. I looked under every tab and there is no similar option to DRAM voltage. These are options I have:

CPU Overclocking [...] *
PCIE Overclocking [...]

Processor Frequency Multiplier [...]
Processor Voltage: [Power Saving Mode] [Standard] [+ 50mv] [+ 100mv]

Memory Clock Mode [...]
DRAM Timing Mode [Auto] [DCT 0] [DCT 1] [Both]
Memory Voltage [Auto] [2.050V] [2.150V] [2.250V]

Chipset Voltage [Auto] [1.35V]

* [...] I assume these options are of a less importance.

Everything is set to [Auto]. I bought the same memory I already had for years, so it is 100% compatible. Also, new memory works when placed in the right slot.

Do you suggest any combination of settings that could solve the problem?

Thanks in advance!
