Computer will run for 10 minutes before shutting down. Can only reboot for 20-30 seconds.

I am at a loss. About 2 weeks ago I went to turn on my computer and something sounded off. I know the sounds my rig makes and it sounded like something wasnt running. In roughly 10-15 minutes my computer just shuts off. I panic and try to turn it back on. It runs for about 30 seconds but it doesnt send a signal to the monitor which stays black. I do this a couple more times and just frustrate myself.

After combing through the internet for the past 2 weeks trying to find an answer Im out of ideas. I thought it might be the PSU failing but after switching it out with another one its the same results. I've cleaned out my case and checked every pin from the psu to motherboard and they all seem fine.

Switched the RAM around multiple times and no change. I have a feeling that it might be that the heat sink is dead or failing but Im not a 100%. I built this computer almost 4 years ago now and it has run perfectly up to this point.

PSU: Solytech SL-8850EPS
MB: Gigabyte ga-770t-usb3
Video: AMD Radeon HD 6970
Ram: 16 Gb
CPU: AMD Phenom II x6 1090t

look inside and see if all the fans in your computer (most importantly, the heatsink and GPU ones) are spinning when it's on.

These are generally the sounds that you hear when your computer is in operation, and if you didn't hear a fan noise because it wasn't on, check to see if it's defective or just loose.

Now that, sounds an awful lot like an overheating computer.
I have three recommendations for you:
1. Apply new thermal paste. (cheap option)
2. Make sure your GPU is not overclocked. (free option)
3.Replace the heatsink. (expensive but useful option).

I had a problem similar to yours once; turned out that my heatsink cable was a tad loose, resulting in these major problems.
I hope this helps. :)
