Black Screen and Freezes Sapphire R9 270x toxic

Basically here is my computer specs:
AMD A8-5600k
ASRockFM2A88x Extreme6+
Sapphire Toxic R9 270x Vengeance Corsair 1600mhz (2x4gb)
Cougar SL500 watts
Windows 7 ultimate 64bit
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
okay here is the problem, my computer freezes and blackscreen randomly, then my monitor will pop up that there is no display and I start losing power on my keyboard and mouse too. I tried clean format and install all of the drivers, my computer is working fine until I upgrade my r7 to this r9 270x toxic. Help please. No Blue screen just black, I tried resettings Bios, what else....

I used to have this exact problem. It must be your GPU overheating. Run a 3D benchmark and monitor your temperatures and fan speeds using MSI Afterburner and HWiNFO (check all temperatures). If anything is running above 70 C, keep an eye on it, and record the temps. If everything is running cool with no problem then it must be a faulty motherboard. Definitely nothing to do with your PSU (good, otherwise it could blow up :p)

uhmm im not sure, my motherboard is new, asrock fm2a88 extreme blahblahblah..... everything is good in temp.

no not really, I dont hear any sounds. but my cpu fans and other system are working, only my usb and mouse, I cant say that all of my usb drives are not working because only my mouse and keyboard are connected. so I needed to restart to get it working again

Hmm ... Seems like a faulty motherboard. I would probably pm a professional.
Have you had this problem before upgrading to R9 270X? With the same motherboard?
