I've been looking at these two cards, mainly because I can't find a comparison between the specific combo that is on the title. I'll be gaming a lot at max settings, my highest resolution monitor can go up to 1080p, so I'm stuck there, and I'll need one that's good. The Gigabyte GPU seems to be on the market all the time, but the MSI and the ASUS Strix runs out minutes after they're back in stock. I already saw a comparison between MSI and ASUS, and clearly MSI is the winner with the better cooling and gaming performance. Now I want to see which is worth getting more between the MSI and Gigabyte, since the Gigabyte is around $10 cheaper and I wonder what kind of performance I can expect to get with the OC Edition, NOT the G1 edition. Which GPU will perform better? Which has better cooling? Which draws most power? Which one has the most quiet operation? I don't know, please answer those for me. Also, tell me what you'd pick based on whatever reason you picked one or the other.

Both would really perform the same if you clock the same clock speed. Cooling Gigabyte is better but has no 0db fan feature which the MSI does.
Both coolers are decent and quiet under 50% fan speed. Both would essentially draw the same power... it using the same gpu chip. It now more of a personal preference and if you can fit the gigabyte in your case.

In all honesty, its more than that. What I would do is look at some benchmarks from Nvidia and your all set.
