If I use high speed ram in a motherboard that doesnt support it, will the mobo downclock the ram? Or is it un-usable.

Bought this motherboard: 760GM-P21 (FX)
So i can get this cpu: FX-6300
But the ram I have is 1866mhz, the mobo only supports like, 1333mhz or somethin, Please help.

In general, yes it will down clock. But not all motherboards support all memory. So you should check if that motherboard supports your RAM.

If it isn't on the list, contact MSI to be sure.

Also to use the FX 6300, you'll have to update the BIOS.
