Windows Live Mail is the new Microsoft Mail client software. You have to download the Windows Live Essentials software bundle and from it, install only Windows Live Mail.

I believe certain types of e-mail don't work. For example, I had to use a "hotmail connector" in Outlook 2010. You may also need to Google the specifics for how to setup your e-mail account (SMTP, password etc).
