Going to SLI 680s, but I don't have cables available for another 680 (psu)

What can I do if anything? I do not have extra cables, and the PSU is modular. This is the psu I use.

I would email CM support and ask for cables , or look around and replace them

Not necessarily sir. You can use molex to PCIe cables on your existing PSU provided you have one standard peripheral power connector available with you.

That was my first thought but he said he had no more cables.

If you buy a second gtx 680 it will come with those adapters and you will be ok

I don't know where my spare molex cables are, probably lost and forgotten. I'd rather just buy 'modular' I think they're called, cables. I opened my rig and saw multiple unused ports, thanks guys. The way it's set up, I can only see 1x4 (4 in line) ports on the PSU output. I only need 6 pins, should I buy a 24 pin set? I know I have cables 'SOMEWHERE' but I'm practically a hoarder. I seriously would rather spend 20 bucks instead of likely not finding it. I think I threw them away whilst moving.

No that looks like it has 8 pins,and you say you need only 6pin . you can buy another gtx 680 and it will come with adapters and do what easylover said,,, or If it was me I would just buy a whole kit so you have them when you need them .Something like that, they got a nice black clean look

Thanks and sorry for my incompetence. I don't even understand how molex works, given the psu doesn't have any molex outputs. (Probably very wrong, I'm just not seeing it.

Lol. Molex is connected on standard four pin power connector. To use molex you would still need a standard four pin power connector so plz it is better to obtain cable set or standard peripheral power connector for your PSU.

Cable you have selected on moddiy is bare wire which would mean it has one end open i.e no connector on that end.

Easiest solution is to send an email to moddiy. Tell them your PSU model and request for a modular PCIe cable for your PSU. they will send you a quotation and time period of delivery. Quality of their products is superb.
