my PSU is corsair vs450(4 pin) and my mobo is arsrock m3a770de(8pin). i attached the the cable to the mobo and my rig is okay and running. I just discovered that my motherboard has 8pin(I bought my rig from a friend, he's the one who assembled it). is it okay or should i get a 4pin to 8pin connector or a new PSU? I'm worried that it may cause a problem in the future

Solution
No need for adapter , look at second pic.

Like stated above no overclocking , but should run fine.
