Hello

I have a Antec HCG-850M PSU and I was wondering if it would work for the Radeon R295X2. I read the requirement of 28A per 8-pin cable, but I only have x1 8-pin cable nd x2 8 pin PCI-E cable. Can I just use the x1 8-pin cable + one of the x2 8pin PCI-E cables? Thanks for any clarification or suggestions.

Solution
that psu has 4 of the 6+2 pins connectors which is what you need. the 6+2 is split so you can use it with a card that only needs a 6 pin. but together they are the same as a solid 8 pins and provides all the power it should.

Thank you!Just one last question. The manual says to avoid using power adapters or dongles for the 8-pin power connections. I only have 2 PCI-E cables, but each cable splits into 2 6+2 pin connectors. Does this mean I use 2 PCI-E cables but leave the other 6+2 pin connector per cable hanging off on the side?

you should use 2 of the 6+2 connectors for the card. it needs both plugged in to run. what the manual is referring to is to avoid using adapters to make a couple 4 pin molex into an 8 pin or any of the other adapters out there like that.

you'll be good to go so long as you plug in both 6+2 pins into your card.
