My friend gave me his laptop so I can fix it its a HP 2000 notebook PC. In the BIOS it says its running windows 8, but it gives me the following error.
Boot Device not found
Please install an operating system on your hard disk
Hard Disk (3F0)
F2 System Diagnostics.
I then run the System Diagnostics and everything seems alright other than the hard drive as it says
Smart Check: not installed
Short DST: not installed.
I want to know if this can be fixed and how.
I have tried to install Windows 8 from a flash drive but it says to remove disks or other media. Press any key to restart. Please answer quickly so I can get paid by monday
