PC speakers auto lowers volume when there is heavy bass

when i'm listening music with heavier bass in it my speakers lower the volume on the moment the bass hits and turn higher when the bass stops, it is really frustrating when listening hardstyle (constantly low & high volume) what can cause the problem or is it normal?

i have the bose companion 2 speakers (had it from the beginning i bought them)

I would check your PC sound settings for stuff like Dolby noise reduction or loudness equalization. under playback devices go to properties and check that. It def sounds like a noise reduction technology at fault. Also check the settings for Realtek or any other audio manager.

Make sure you have the latest drivers for audio as well.

Are you using the power cable that the speakers came with? sounds like a power problem.

i have realtek audio (asus maximus vii motherboard has supreme fx soundcard (but had the problem on another pc to) and i use the power cable that came with the speakers
