Hi there,

I've been trying to get a wireless bridge (Engenius ENH 200) working so I can set it up in a barn for a security system I'm setting up. Unfortunately I can't log into the default site to start setting it up. Here's what I'm doing.

- The bridge uses POE. The Bridge has two ports (Main LAN and Secondary). I have an Ethernet cable from the Main LAN to the POE device.
- Once that's done, I do have a power indicator, the WAN light blinks yellow, and then nothing happens.
- The default ip is 192.168.1.1. When I try connecting to it, I get no page found. Since the WLAN is not blinking at all, obviously it's not connecting to the network.
- I'm using a D-Link Wireless Router with a Cable Modem

I'm a little rusty with my networking and I'm not sure what else to test. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Did you manually set an IP address on your laptop? If not then it is DHCP mapped to 192.168.0.x. It can't talk to 192.168.1.x -- Go through the steps in the manual and set a static IP address in the 192.168.1.x range. You should then be able to...

So you are using the POE injector that came with the unit? Nowhere in the users guide does it mention a blinking YELLOW LED.
Paragraph 3.2 says everything should be GREEN...

Start with a brand new 6ft ethernet cable between the injector and the unit as shown in chapter 3. Then another new cable between the input of the injector and your computer.

Chapter 4 then walks you through setting up a static IP addres on your computer to connect to the AP. Then you should be able to get to 192.168.1.1

Hi kanewolf,

I am indeed using the POE injector that came with the unit as well as brand new ethernet cables. Where I'm at now with it is that I have the primary in the POE injector and the other ethernet cable from teh secondary to my laptop. I now have a solid amber(yellow) light but I still cannot connect to the address. My d-link router is 192.168.0.1 and I would think that I could still connect with the 192.168.1.1 address, unless I'm not thinking about networking correctly.

It can't talk to 192.168.1.x -- Go through the steps in the manual and set a static IP address in the 192.168.1.x range. You should then be able to communicate. That is why I recommended direct connecting to the input of the POE injector just like the manual recommends. That takes DHCP out of the equation.
